Our manufacturers can design, make, and coat a myriad of cylindrical lenses customized to our customers’ needs.

A cylindrical lens is a single lens with different X-axis and Y-axis radii. Only on-axis is possible to expand the image.

Cylindrical lenses can be used as lasers, lines, or generators, or used for height adjustment of images or imaging. It is used to correct the system’s astigmatism. In addition, it is possible to manufacture with materials such as anti-reflection coating (AR Coating,) and removable BK7, UV and Fused, Silica and CaF2.

ABOUT LENSES

STANDARD AND CUSTOM LENSES

A lens is one of the most basic optical elements.  A particularly important use of lenses is image formation.  A lens has a transmissive property, and it is very important to select an appropriate optical element to maximize light transmission through the lens.

YOUR ONE-STOP SOURCE FOR STANDARD & CUSTOM LENSES

In addition to general products, TMB Optics’ manufacturers supplies custom lenses that reflect customers’ specific requirements.

GRINDING/POLISHING TOOL AND TEST PLATES

In order for the lens to have optical properties, the process of shape processing, grinding, and polishing is required.  TMB Optics has access to more than 1,800 grinding and polishing tools and 1,000 test plates, so it can save time and money for lenses requiring high specifications or products with sensitive delivery times.

MATERIALS

TMB Optics has access to various materials such as BK7, Fused Silica, CaF2, Silicon, ZnSe, and ZnS.

ASSEMBLIES AND BONDING

TMB Optics’ manufacturers can manufacture and supply multi-element lenses such as singlet lenses, doublets, and triplets suitable for laser and imaging applications.

MINIMUM QUANTITIES

There is no minimum required quantity.  TMB Optics’ manufacturers provide a single prototype lens that requires optical components for defense, medical, research institutes, and laser applications.

MASS PRODUCTION

Our manufacturers can respond to large quantities ranging from a small number of prototypes to more than 10,000 units per month.
